Tuna Omakase Feast | Culinary Showcase at Azure Pavilion
A Tribute to Craftsmanship and the Ocean’s Finest – July 2 Private Dining Experience
On July 2, 2025, Azure Pavilion proudly presented an exclusive Tuna Omakase Feast, a private culinary event meticulously curated by esteemed Japanese chef Kengo Hiromatsu. Centered around premium bluefin tuna, this experience celebrated the art of omotenashi—Japanese hospitality through cuisine—and the refined elegance of seasonal tasting.
This curated menu explored the rich complexity of tuna through multiple cuts and techniques, including sashimi, seared sushi, marinated tartare, and warm seasonal dishes. Each course was crafted to highlight the nuanced textures and flavors of the fish, moving from the clean clarity of akami to the luxurious richness of otoro.
Featured Works Included:
Bluefin tuna sashimi, delicately sliced to accentuate purity of flavor
Lightly seared toro sushi with a touch of smoke
Tuna marrow slow-roasted with miso
House-made tartare on rice crisps, blending traditional and modern influences
Seasonal side dishes and clear broth to complement the tasting flow
Culinary Philosophy
More than a meal, this omakase journey was a narrative of time, seasonality, and artistry. Chef Hiromatsu guided guests through an immersive progression that honored both the heritage of Japanese cuisine and the expressive potential of modern refinement. Each dish reflected his philosophy of “refined simplicity”, where restraint becomes luxury, and nature’s rhythm dictates the culinary pace.
Held in the serene setting of Azure Pavilion, this private event offered guests an intimate encounter with the essence of Japanese culinary craftsmanship—a dialogue between the sea, the season, and the soul of the chef.
